The Living Gulf Coast - A Nature Guide To Southwest Florida

Our speaker today, Charles Sobczak, is not a novice author since this is the seventh book he has written.  Charles spoke about all the wonderful areas one can explore in the various counties here in Southwest Florida which includes Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota.  Charles said many locations are household names and several are very well kept secrets which he explains in his book.  In these areas there are 162 parks, preserves, and eco-destinations.  You have 291 species of resident and migratory birds and 88 species of reptiles and amphibians, both native and invasive.  Charles went on with his power point presentation to show us some of the more unusual sights and creatures we may find along with ones we have come to know.

For any books which members purchased today at the meeting Charles said he would donate $5.00 back to our Club.
