President Rachel Toomey led our group today.  President Rachel asked Todd Adams if he would do the invocation. President Rachel asked Tom Thornquist to lead us in the pledge.  President Rachel asked for a volunteer to choose a song today.  Everett Shell selected the song, Grand Old Flag

We were joined by all our snowbirds today, Leo Eason, Bob Bizier, Caryl and Bob Kloss.  We also had several additional snowbirds from Indiana and Illinois along with Steve Hess' Dad, Ken Hess visiting from Michigan that joined us today.  Jo Ann Coburn from All Children's was also a guest today.

President Rachel has us assisting the SIYA organization, Supporting Independent Young Adults, by making up buckets with cleaning supplies.  This organization helps foster kids who are aging out of the system.  Rachel felt this would be one less thing that these individuals would have to worry about.  This will be an ongoing project.  We have now completed 45 buckets for SIYA.

Here is an internet tidbit.

Club Selection

For most of the round the golfer had argued with his caddy about club selection, but the caddy always prevailed.

Finally on the 17th hole, a 185-yard par three into the wind, the caddy handed the golfer a 4-wood and the golfer reacted.
"I think it's a 3-iron," said the golfer.
"No, sir it's a 4-wood," said the caddy.
"Nope, it's definitely a 3-iron."

So the golfer set up, took the 3-iron back slowly, and struck the ball perfectly. It tore through the wind, hit softly on the front of the green, and rolled up two feet short of the pin.

"See," said the caddy. "I told you it wasn't enough club."
